I love it! And since my laptop recently got a pretty bad virus, having this blog writer will be awesome! As you can see i have been playing with the emoji installed on the japanese keyboard on here!

I have a few updates coming including my bustle skirt and a harry potter skirt as well as thst room shoe tutorisl i promise ages ago so please watch this space!

Powerpuff Girls Skirt

I bought an old powerpuff girls bedsheet the other day off ebay and used it for fabric to make a skirt with.

I'm very happy with the results, i think this is actually the first item of clothing i've made, finished and will actually wear in public. XD

This is an adorable Hime-gyaru clothing line from Japan and the clothes are so pretty and cute!

I've spotted a couple of dresses that i want to make for the new uni year.



Love the shape of this dress. It's very Chocolate Love looking and i've always loved those dresses.



I love the back of ths dress however if i do make it i would probably not use frills but something smoother. :)


I have made myself one of those bustle skirts but not had a chance to put a waistband on it yet or take photos but i did take it out for a test run the other day and it looks pretty cute! :D

Baby Rats!

So on Monday me and my boyfriend decided to get some pet rats.

They were the best choice of pet for us as hamsters are kinda lame (i've had 4) and for rabbits and guinea pigs would ideally need outside space. both cats and dogs were out as neither of us have the time or money for either of them so rats seemed like the perfect idea!

We bought them today and they are absolutely GORGEOUS!!

We have named them Tokyo (Cause i love japan) and Ezio (after the Asassins Creed character as he is a hooded ratty). Tokyo is inquisitive and outgoing and is happily climbing bars and scampering around, Ezio is very shy and has stayed in the box we brought them home in pretty much for all the time they've been here.

I'm having my usual "new pet anxiety" about them. "Is that sneezing normal? (apparently it's because he's in a new place and a bit stressed), what if Ezio doesn't come out ever? Isn't Tokyo gonna get fat if he keeps eating all that food? (it's not been much, im just paranoid and Ezio hasn't gotten there fast enough)" I get really bad worries about new pets, had it with all my hamsters, all my dogs and guinea pigs and it's hard to put into words.

But i'm happy we have them now. They are both totally adorable and are alot younger then i was expecting/wanting them to be. not sure how old but they look about 10 weeks old I think.
It's a learning curve for all of us and i'm a worrier. :/

Lace/Ruffle Shorts

I have recently become very attracted to the idea of Lace or Ruffle Shorts.

They'd look totally adorable layered under skirts or even by themselves with a long top and over-the-knee socks to which I'm quite partial to wearing. :)











I think i'll have have to make myself a pair or 3 in a few different colours. :D

Bustle Skirt?!

I have been looking through some of the stuff on Grosgrain recently and the Free Pattern Month they had there was genius!

One of my favourite patterns was this Bustle Skirt buy Lil Blue Boo as it's really unusual and can be worn with anything.

I've decided to try and make it one day for myself as the pattern/instructions can easily be adjusted for big kids (and adults too!) and I can save up old tshirts and things for it as well.

The one thing i will change is that on the top back piece i will gather slightly in the middle so it is not completely flat.

Exciting! I'm trying to create a good chunk of wardrobe for starting back at uni with. :)
