Japanese Room Shoes

So while i was sewing the banner for this blog today i was also researching Japanese room shoes.
I love these little shoes and i've always wanted a pair as i hate wearing slippers. (I trip up alot and slippers make that worse)

I was scouring the internet for a free pattern because i'm a student and therefore very poor and alas i couldn't find one.
However i did find one for sale which listed the materials needed.

I have decided to take a blind swing in the dark and create my own pair and pattern for these quaint little shoes.

I will try and make a coherent tutorial for them if they work out too. :)
